Swim Team Calendar Updates

• 1.Meet Tuesday, July 5, 2022- Final reminder to RSVP for your swimmers to participate in the meet this upcoming Tuesday. I plan to write the lineup shortly after the deadline to merge the heat sheet with Raleigh Racquet Club in preparation for the meet on Tuesday.
• 2.Swim Team Night July 8, 2022- I originally posted the event on Swimtopia and parents were unable to RSVP for their swimmers. I have changed the setting which should allow parents to RSVP for the event. I apologize for the inconvenience earlier in signing up for this event. Swim team night is geared for the swimmers, but parents are welcomed to stay and help with games and activities.
• 3.Fourth of July- Enjoy the holiday, we will not have practice.
• 4.End of Year Slideshow- The coaches will be creating an end of year slideshow. If you would like your swimmer featured in the slideshow, please send picture to Coach Ellie [email protected] by July 13 at 11:59 AM. Please observe my assistant coaches and I do not take pictures during meet as our responsibilities are to coach and support your swimmers. Your swimmer(s) will be featured in the slideshow if you send in pictures.
• 5.Practices- Thank you to everyone who has arrived to practice early. The coaches and I have enjoyed talking to the swimmers prior to practice start time. Please send your swimmers to practice with a water bottle which they can leave by the pool deck. We all want our swimmers to be hydrated!
• 6.Team Pictures July 12, 2022-

3:50 Arrival for individual photos

4:00-4:15 Individual pictures/grouping (friends, households, age groups, etc.)

4:15 Arrival for team picture if not already present for individual photos

4:16 Swimmers will line up for team photo

4:23 Team Picture taken*

4:25 Swimmers line up for warmups

4:30-4:45 Warmups

*in order to be in the team picture you must:

-Arrive on the actual pool deck (feet on the concrete and dressed) no later than 4:15.

-Wear your Southall Swim bathing suit AND your Southall Swim t-shirt. Adults please write your swimmers name into their t-shirt. I recommend this from years of experience.

-Please make every effort to have your swimmer on time for team pictures. There are 94 swimmers on the team and it will take the entirety of the time to line the swimmers up for the picture.

Parents who have a Nikon Camera and/or a tripod and wish to help with individual and group pictures please email Coach Tiffany to express interest.

• 7.TSA (Tarheel Swim Association) Championships July 23- After two years (COVID), we are finally able to compete at the TSA Championship Meet!!! If your swimmer is interested, they may attend the championship meet. The championship meet is against all other pools in the TSA league. There is a small fee to attend this meet. I will hold practices after the final meet for the swimmers who plan to attend TSA. I would encourage your swimmers to attend as this is an incredible experience. More information to come.

I cannot believe we are already halfway through the summer swim season. I have thoroughly enjoyed coaching so far this season. I am looking forward to a strong, enjoyable and successful end of the season.
