Seahorse Families,

     Registration for the 2025 SSRC Swim Team is now open.  We look forward to seeing everyone back this year for what is sure to be another wonderful season.

     Please take note of the practice and meet schedules and let us know if anyone has any questions.  

We are always in need of special volunteer roles which require training.  Please help us fill these vital roles:

Stroke and Turn Judges:  Without one from our team on each meet, we would forfeit.  Our goal is to have a minimum of 4.  Training must be completed every year.

Meet Administrator:  With the advantage of being able to sit down the entire meet, this job is to monitor our timing system, ensure the entries are filled correctly into our meet management software, and to enter in disqualifications coming from our judges.  We currently only have 1 person that does this for our team, and we would like a minimum of 4 to be capabile of filling this role.

Assistant TSA Rep:  Many swim teams have as many as 4 TSA Reps.  For the past several years, we have had just one.  We do have a 2nd person added this year (Thank you Odessa!!), but 4 is also our goal for this position.  The ask for a new TSA Rep is to fill the role in just one meet in their first year and attend the associated meetings/training.

     Each of these roles have training classes associated with them and the class schedule will be provided to anyone interested.  If you are interested in becoming a vital member of our swim team community, please reach out and let us know at swimteam.southallswim.com.

     As an addendum to this note, the pool is hosting the 2nd work weekend to prepare the pool for inspection and opening this weekend 4/26 and 4/27 starting at 10am.  There is a checklist of both small and large items to get done and every person that can help, even for just a few hours, is needed to ensure we have a successful start to our season.  If you have any questions please e-mail [email protected].
