Swim Team week of 6/30, *Action required!*

Swim Team Families,

We are halfway through the swim season! Highlights and action items for this week AND next week are below.

If you have not already, please review the “Athlete Behavior Expectations” email sent earlier this afternoon and email [email protected] with any questions. Thank you for reinforcing this message at home and helping to keep all swimmers safe.


Action required, week of 6/30:

  • Practice on Monday and Thursday mornings from 9-10am and Monday, Wednesday, Thursday evenings from 5.45-6.45pm. *NO PRACTICE on Friday, July 4*
  • Away meet on Tuesday 7/1 at Zebulon, arrival time 4.45pm, meet info below.
  • Volunteer sign ups listed below, check for your name.
  • Concessions still needed for Tuesday’s meet, sign up here.
  • RSVP required for 7/8 meet!Declare your swimmer’s participation by Friday 7/4 at 8pm. *Swimmers not declared by deadline will not be able to participate in the meet!*

Looking ahead, week of 7/7:

  • Annual lock-in party on 7/7 for all swimmers (more details to come), donations here.
  • Home meet with Banbury Woods on 7/8.
  • Picture day on 7/9, sign up here to help!

Zebulon Meet 7/1 (away)
Please see attached pdf for meet directions and other details. *Please write on FRONT of arms and swim caps ONLY, do not write on swimmers’ backs for this meet (at Zebulon’s request)!*

Check-in procedures and TSA rules:

  1. All parent volunteers (see below) should check in with Mary Elizabeth and receive a name tag upon arrival.
  2. Swimmers should check in with their coaches as soon as they arrive. Please ensure that they are available for kid pushers to find easily throughout the meet.
  3. No parents should be behind the swim blocks during a meet other than the volunteers doing Clerk of Course, Timing, or Kid Pushing. This is a TSA safety rule.
  4. No alcoholic beverages of any kind, smoking, vaping, etc. are allowed during a TSA meet.
  5. Any and all concerns or issues between teams should be addressed between TSA Reps.

Volunteers sign ups are below, go to Swimtopia to check your job and shift. There will be a volunteer meeting at 5.45pm to explain all jobs. Meets are run solely by volunteers. If you are unable to fulfill the role you signed up for please let organizers know by emailing [email protected].
